FAQs
What should I expect at the first session?
If you are coming to an in-person session, text your counsellor when you arrive and your Counsellor will meet you at the door and walk you to the office. You will likely be greeted by the door-cat.

*IF YOU ARE AFRAID OF CATS/FERRETS OR DON'T WANT THEM OUT WHEN YOU ARE HERE LET US KNOW*
If you have allergies, you may need to do virtual sessions only as pets get everywhere despite our best efforts to keep the office a pet-free zone.

For phone sessions, your counsellor will call you at your scheduled appointment time.
If you are doing virtual, you will get an email with a link to the virtual platform prior to your appointment time. Click the link at your appointment time.

Regardless of the delivery method, we will go over your intake information and consent form, and will begin to discuss relevant background information and clarify the problem(s) you wish to address.
How do I book an Intake Session?

If you are new to counselling, we suggest booking a Free 15-minute consult to make sure you are matched with a counsellor that is right for you.
Are your services covered by benefits?

As registered social workers, our counselling services are covered by most private and group insurance plans. Your counsellor will provide an invoice, and a reciept upon payment which can be submitted to your insurer.

We are also approved providers through Victim's Services and Non-Insured Health Benefits.
​
We understand not all individuals have access to private insurance and cost can be a barrier. Please speak with your counsellor about options.
